IMPORTANT

YOU WILL NEED A FREE ADOBE SVG VIEWER TO USE THESE PAGES
Click below to download

This page allows you to navigate to an area of interest. Click on any of the 100km squares. This takes you to a page that employs scaleable vector (SVG) technology. This provides a highly functional method of panning and zooming and linking data BUT is only fully supported by the latest Internet Exlorer browser for the PC. Other browsers (and those for Mac) will have limited functionality. Mozilla Firefox will REQUIRE YOU to control-alt-delete to end the programme if you try and click on a square - so don't go any further if this what you are using.

I use an Apple Mac and Firefox/Safari browser so am sympathetic with those facing such limitations but the technology is simply the best way of providing this navigation function and it is NOT supported by other browsers. The alternative to using MapviewSVG is hundreds of static html pages which will take around 100 days to construct and I do not have that time!

PLEASE READ NOTES ON LEFT

Due to our dispute with the Ordnance Survey, the map navigation function is not currently available. The following notes are the original text on this page.
----------------------

Clicking on any of the Ordnance Survey 100km Grid Squares below.

These link to MapViewSVG page that might be anything up to 300kb in size. It's well worth the wait though since this gives you a pan and zoom function across 100km x 100km without any further downloads.

The underlying dark blue and red shading indicates the extent of land currently covered by data on this website. At present here is no point searching for data outwith this area (for example, Western Isles, Borders etc.)
